Throw lavender as confetti instead of rice, which is banned at many wedding venues, because it is difficult to clean up and it attracts rodents. Lavender is perfect as a wedding toss as it is fragrant and environmentally friendly. Tie up approx. a tablespoon of lavender buds into 6”squares of taffeta netting or tulle secured with a silk ribbon. Distribute these to the guests as they leave the wedding and after unwrapping the bundle, they can throw the Lavender as they would the traditional rice.
